Product Details Description Custom Ecologic™ Potassium Silicate Paint Product Description: Ecologic™ Potassium Silicate Paint Customized  is a breathable, exterior and interior, mineral-based silicate wall paint for projects that require a custom color that matches a paint swatch from a store or sample from existing paint. By utilizing our custom simulation service you can go beyond our stock colors and create a truly breathtaking finish that closely resembles your paint swatch or existing paint. Material Properties A mildew resistant and water repellent, highly durable, and breathable mineral-based exterior silicate wall paint. Mineral paints and stains chemically bond to all forms of masonry substrates such as brick, stone, mortar, stucco, and cement. Unlike latex paints, they are non-film-forming which creates a permeant bond that works in harmony with the masonry. Potassium Silicate Paint is a thick-bodied masonry paint. Color Wash Stain, however, is a translucent potassium silicate stain that allows the masonry texture to come through the finish. Both can be brushed, rolled or sprayed on. For artistic expressions or when feathering colors with Color Wash Stain a sponge may be appropriate for a unique finish. Suggested Supplement – Ecologic™ Waterglass Old Exterior Lime & Cement, Stucco, and highly absorbent Mineral Surfaces Remove loose particles, solidify remaining semi-loose mineral particles from mortar plaster, adobe, concrete, or unglazed bricks with 1 – 2 coats (as needed) of Ecologic™ Waterglass straight or with a 1st coat prepared out of Ecologic™ Potassium Silicate Paint and up to 20% Ecologic™ Waterglass. New Exterior Concrete, Mortar, Stucco, etc. Make sure surfaces are fully cured, i.e. min. 30 days old at time of painting. Remove or neutralize any oily residues such as forms, release agents, etc. Apply 1 Primer coat of Ecologic™ Potassium Silicate Paint diluted with 10% Ecologic™ Waterglass plus two coats of Ecologic™ Potassium Silicate Paint.
